ArtsUnited is looking for authors, performers and visual artists interested in participating in ArtExplosion 2005. Applications are available in Fort Lauderdale at ArtServe, 1350 East Sunrise Blvd, Broward Art Guild, 530 NE 13th Street, the Stonewall Library and Archives, 1717 North Andrews Avenue, or may be requested by calling 954-530-2723 or emailing Artsunited1@aol.com. Applications must be returned on or before March 1, 2005 to be considered.
ArtExplosion2005 will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2005, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at ArtServe. The unique combination of a visual art exhibit, live theatre, vocals, music, dance, poetry and book signings makes ArtExplosion one of the most popular one-night events in Fort Lauderdale every year. The visual art will remain on display to the public until April 16, 2005. There is no cost to enter art work in the exhibition or to participate; however, admission to the Opening Reception is by $5.00 donation to ArtsUnited to help offset the costs associated with the event.
