Art Explosion GALLA Festival Performing Arts Series Up Coming Events February 6-20, 2010 April 9-11, 2010 March 23, 2010 April 27, 2010 ArtExplosion celebrates ten years as one of the largest LGBT Arts Festival in the country, with two weeks of art, film, music, dance, theatre, literature, comedy and cabaret by LGBT artists and performers. ArtExplosion 10 features the legendary comedian Kate Clinton, Matt Alber, an exhibit on the Harlem Renaissance, and a special pre-festival performance by Ballet Trocadero of Monte Carlo. John Rechy, Katherine Forrest, and Edmund White are featured among the dozens of gay and lesbian authors who will be participating in this year's Gay and Lesbian Literary Arts (GALLA) Festival. The three-day festival will include free workshops, seminars, panels, presentations and a book fair at the Stonewall Library & Archives and ArtServe facilities. Recording Artist Matt Alber will launch the new ArtsUnited Performing Arts Series presented by RBC Wealth Management. This monthly series of performances by out gay and lesbian musical talent will be held in a concert style setting each month from February though May, and present a mixture of local and national lgbt talent. ArtsUnited presents Independant Music Award Winner Rachael Sage at the Broward Center River Room as part of the Performing Arts Series. Rachael's voice, infectious melodies and poetic lyrics have often been compared to Sarah McLachlan
