A free reading/work in progress of the Southeastern premier of Something Something Uber Alles by gay Playwright Assurbanipal Babilla who was head of Iran’s National Theatre until was forced to flee Iran because of his controversial writings. Something Something Uber Alles is a twisted one-actor, dark comedy about a Hitler look-alike who is abducted by two gay pastry chefs for a subterranean Fuhrer worshipping cult to be their living god. A ferocious, scary, hilarious fantasia on religion and power that The Village Voice called "diabolically intelligent."
Performed by actor/writer Matthew Glass who was last seen in Camposition's revival production of Michael Yawney's sold out 1000 Homosexuals. He was previously seen in the world premier of The BugChasers as a writer and performer with Camposition. Locally Matthew has appeared as Bernard in Gablestage’s Romance. (Best Supporting Actor, Best Of Miami 2007; Miami New Times & Best Comic Performance 2007; Miami's Sun Post) and Carl in The Alliance Theatre Lab’s production of Lonely Planet.
Directed by Michael Yawney, who previously directed Assurbanipal Babilla’s Three Angels Dancing on a Needle in a production that swept the Miami New Times Best of 2007 awards winning Best Theatrical Production of 2007. This production went on to be named Best Foreign Language Production at the Brooklyn Brick Theater’s Pretentious Festival. Mr. Yawney's play 1,000 Homosexuals debuted in a sold out run at the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.
